Every listing carries a status badge that tells you whether it's ready to submit — and when it isn't, hovering over the badge shows exactly which required fields are missing.
Read the status badge
You'll see the badge on the marketplace's Listings page and at the top of every listing:
- A percentage (for example, "75% complete") — some required fields are still unfilled. Hover over the badge to see the list of missing fields by name.
- Ready for Submission — every required field is filled; the listing is waiting to be submitted.
- Invalid — all required fields are filled, but one or more values don't meet the marketplace's rules (for example, an image that's the wrong shape). Hover over the badge for a short summary of what's wrong.
For a listing with multiple variants, the badge rolls up all of them — hovering shows which field types are unfilled across the variants.
The badge is also the gate: Osello won't submit a listing that reads as incomplete or invalid, and it won't submit part of one either. If a single variant is missing a value, the whole listing is held back — so the marketplace never receives a half-built style. Submitting re-runs this check first, so what the badge tells you to fix is exactly what stands between the listing and the marketplace.
When a listing has invalid values, a red alert at the top of the listing page lists every issue found by the last content check, with the variants each issue affects. The same alert appears on a variant's own page with just that variant's issues. Fix the values it lists (by hand or with AI), and the alert clears on the next check.
"Waiting for approval" is one of those issues
An image Osello's AI created or edited — including an automatic crop to the marketplace's required aspect ratio — has to be approved by a person before it can go live. Until then the variant reads as Invalid, with the reason "The selected image '…' is waiting for approval."
Approve the image in AI Images → Approvals (or just pick a different, already-approved image) and the variant re-checks itself. See Approve AI-edited images before they go live.
Inspect the fields on a listing
Open a listing to land on its Fields tab, which lists every field the marketplace expects, with required fields grouped first. Two filter buttons make gaps easy to find:
- Required Only — hide the optional fields.
- Unfilled Only — show only fields that still need a value.
Combine both to get a to-do list of exactly what stands between this listing and submission.
One value shared by several variants
Some fields hold the same value for a whole group of variants — a brand or a description is set once for the listing, and a color-specific field like a swatch is set once per color rather than once per size. Osello stores those values once and every variant in the group reads the same one.
That means you only fill each shared value in one place. When you open a field that several variants share, the edit screen tells you how many other variants it covers, and saving updates all of them at once. The same is true when the AI fills the field, and when a new variant is added — it picks up the value its group already has instead of needing its own fill.
Which variants share a field is decided by the marketplace's own rules for that field, so it isn't something you set per listing. If two variants share a value, that's because the marketplace expects them to match.
Use the parent listing's value
Some fields exist both on the listing itself and on each of its variants — a description, say, is written once for the listing and can also be set per variant. On those fields, a variant that has no value of its own can simply use the parent listing's value: its edit screen shows a Use parent value checkbox, checked by default while the variant hasn't stored anything itself.
While the box is checked, the variant's value is the parent's — on the listing page, in exports, and in what's submitted to the marketplace — and the edit screen shows the parent's value read-only, with a link to edit it at the listing level. Fill the parent once and every variant still using it follows along, including future edits.
To give one variant (or one group of variants sharing the value — see above) an answer of its own, untick the box and the normal editor appears. Storing a value also unticks the box automatically, whether it was typed by hand, filled by the AI, or imported. Ticking it again returns to the parent's value; the variant's own value stays stored underneath and comes back if you untick once more.
A variant that already holds exactly the listing's value opens with the box ticked too — it's the same answer, so it may as well follow the listing from here on. Save and it does; untick first if you'd rather keep that value pinned. Once you've unticked a variant deliberately, it stays unticked on later visits even while the values still match.
Not every field offers this — it's enabled per field where falling back to the listing's value makes sense. Where the checkbox doesn't appear, the variant always holds its own value. When it's switched on for a field that already has values, Osello reconciles them: variants holding the listing's value (or nothing) start following it, variants with a different value keep their own, and a listing with no value of its own adopts the value most of its variants share.
Find incomplete listings in bulk
On the marketplace's Listings page, open the filters and use the State section — filter by Incomplete/Invalid to see every listing that isn't ready, or by Ready for 1st Submission to see what's good to go. The filter shows a live count for each state.
Fill the gaps
You rarely need to fill fields by hand:
- Fill in Missing Fields — from the Listings page's actions menu, this starts an AI fill for every listing with missing fields.
- Fill in With AI — select specific listings and choose this from the actions bar to target just those.
- Update with AI — on a listing's Fields tab, each field has its own action menu for redoing a single value.

Set or clear one field across many listings
When a field should hold the same answer everywhere — or when a batch of values came in wrong and you'd rather start over — you can act on the whole selection at once instead of opening each listing.
On the marketplace's Listings page, tick the listings you want and use the actions bar's Fields menu:
- Set to Fixed Value — pick one field, type the value once, and apply it to every selected listing. Leave Only update unfilled values ticked to fill the gaps without overwriting answers that are already there.
- Reset Value(s) — pick one or more fields and clear them on every selected listing. This wipes the value and its AI confidence score so the field counts as unfilled again, ready for a fresh fill. It can't be undone.
The same two actions are on a listing's Variants tab, where they apply to just the variants you tick. On a listing with multiple variants, the field list there offers only the fields that belong to a variant — anything managed once for the whole listing is set or cleared from the listing's own Fields tab instead.
Remember that some fields are shared by a group of variants, so setting or clearing one affects every variant in that group — see One value shared by several variants above.
Recheck a listing's content
Osello rechecks a listing automatically whenever its data changes, so the status badge is normally up to date. If a status ever looks stale, open the listing and choose Recheck Content from the actions menu (⋯ in the top right). The check runs in the background and refreshes the readiness state of the listing and every variant a few moments later.
