2.4 Order and End-Customer Data from Connected Platforms

When you connect your store's integrations (such as Shopify) and marketplaces (such as Target, Walmart, Amazon, Macy's, and similar retailers), you authorize Osello to import order and inventory data from those platforms. This data may include limited personal information about your customers that is contained in an order — such as the customer's name, shipping and billing address, order contact details (for example, email or phone number), and the items, quantities, and prices in the order.

We collect and process this order and end-customer data for one purpose: to synchronize your orders between your connected integrations and marketplaces — for example, importing a marketplace order so it can be fulfilled through your Shopify store, and pushing fulfillment, tracking, cancellation, and return updates back to the marketplace so both systems stay in sync. In providing this synchronization, Osello acts as a data processor on your behalf; you remain the controller of your customers' data.

We do not use end-customer order data to send marketing to your customers, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for any purpose other than operating the order-sync and related fulfillment features you have enabled. We retain it only as long as needed to provide those features and to maintain accurate order records, consistent with Section 6.

We do not use your customers' order data for any of the marketing purposes in this Section 4.3.

  • We need to retain it for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention or to maintain security
  • The data is part of aggregated or anonymized datasets that no longer identify you
