To change many listings at once, export them to a spreadsheet, make your edits in Excel, and import the same file back. Osello matches each row to its listing and applies your changes.
Step 1: Export the listings
- In the left sidebar, open your marketplace's section and click Exports, then New Export.
- Choose Listing Variants, then the Osello Listing Variants (Re-importable) format.
- Pick the marketplace, optionally filter to one category, choose CSV or XLSX, and click Start Export.
Prefer to hand-pick? On the marketplace's Listings page, select the listings you want and choose the Export action — only those listings go into the file.
Step 2: Edit the file
Each variant is one row, and every one of the marketplace's listing fields has its own column — titles, descriptions, materials, style attributes, and the rest. Edit as many cells as you like.
A few rules keep the round trip safe:
- Don't change the
idcolumns. That's how Osello matches each row back to the right listing and variant. (Rows are also matched by barcode or SKU if an ID is missing.) - Blank cells are ignored. An empty cell never erases an existing value, so you can safely delete columns you don't care about.
- Status and inventory columns are for reference only. The import ignores columns like the listing's status and stock total.
- Prices and stock aren't edited through listing files — see offers for how those work.
To bulk-edit categories instead, run a Listing Parents export the same way — each parent row carries the listing's category, and the import applies it.
Step 3: Import it back
- Open the store menu at the bottom of the left sidebar and click Imports, then New Import.
- Choose Marketplace Listings, then the Listings CSV/Excel format.
- Pick the same marketplace, upload your edited file, and click Start Import.
The import page shows progress plus succeeded and failed row counts. Open any failed row to see exactly why, fix it, and retry.
Tips
- Editing codes with leading zeros? Choose XLSX when exporting. Osello writes cells as text so a value like "001" stays "001" — Excel often rewrites it to "1" in a plain CSV.
- Rows that don't match any existing listing become new listings, so this same flow can create listings from a spreadsheet. The Skip existing SKUs and Skip existing group codes toggles on the import let you add new listings without touching current ones.
