Ship marketplace orders the way you ship everything else — in Shopify. Osello notices the fulfillment and sends the tracking back to the marketplace automatically. If you prefer, you can also mark an order fulfilled directly in Osello.
The automatic path: fulfill in Shopify
Once an order is accepted, it exists in your Shopify store like any other order. When you, your warehouse team, or your fulfillment app marks it fulfilled in Shopify:
- Osello is notified right away.
- It copies the tracking number and carrier from the Shopify fulfillment.
- It marks the matching items fulfilled in Osello.
- It sends the tracking to the marketplace, so the customer gets their shipping notification.
Partial shipments work too: if only some items ship, the order shows as Partially Fulfilled until the rest go out.
Marking an order fulfilled in Osello
If you fulfill outside Shopify, or just want to record a shipment by hand:
- Open the order from Sales > Orders.
- Open the actions menu and choose Fulfill Order.
- Enter the Tracking Number, Carrier, and Tracking URL. These apply to all items on the order.
- Confirm with Mark as Fulfilled.
Tracking details are optional — some marketplaces accept a plain "shipped" signal — but we strongly recommend including them so the customer can follow their package.
Watch the deadline
Marketplaces set a ship-by deadline on every order. While an order still has unshipped items, its page shows a banner telling you how much time you have left — and a red warning once the deadline has passed. The exact deadline also appears in the order's Details panel.
After shipping
Each item's tracking number appears in the order's Line Items table. The order sits at Fulfilled until the marketplace reports the package delivered, at which point it moves to Delivered. No action is needed from you for that last step — Osello keeps checking the marketplace until the order completes.
