Why Does My Marketplace Show 0 in Stock?

A checklist for missing or zero marketplace inventory — locations, SKUs, disabled listings, sync timing, and how to force a push.

When a marketplace shows zero stock for an item you know you have, the cause is almost always one of a handful of conditions. Work through this checklist from the top — the first two fix most cases.

1. Give the sync an hour

Osello picks up stock changes from your store about once an hour (Shopify changes usually arrive within minutes) and pushes updates to marketplaces about every half hour. If the stock arrived recently, the zero may just be a snapshot from before the change.

In a hurry? Open the marketplace's Offers page, choose Push Offers to your marketplace from the actions menu, and click Submit to send current numbers immediately.

2. Check your inventory locations

A marketplace only counts stock from locations that are enabled in two places:

  • Account-wide — under Inventory then Locations, the location must show as Enabled. Disabling a location there zeroes it out everywhere.
  • For that marketplace — in the sidebar, open the marketplace and click Inventory Locations. If the location's switch is off, its stock doesn't count for this marketplace, even though other marketplaces may still see it.

If all your stock for an item sits in excluded locations, the marketplace correctly shows zero.

3. Check the variant has a SKU

Osello identifies items to marketplaces by SKU. A variant with no SKU is skipped entirely when offers are pushed, so the marketplace never receives its quantity. Add a SKU in your store and let it sync.

4. Check the listing and variant are enabled

If the variant — or its parent listing — is disabled, Osello stops sending its stock. On some marketplaces, disabling also actively removes the offer so the item can't be bought. Re-enable the listing to resume updates.

5. On Target+: wait for the item ID

Target+ assigns each item its own ID when the listing is approved. Until that happens, there's nothing to attach stock to, so quantity stays at zero on the marketplace. Check the listing's status — stock flows automatically once the listing is accepted and its ID exists.

6. Check the actual quantity

On the marketplace's Offers page, find the SKU and look at the Quantity column — that's the total Osello calculated from the enabled locations. Two quirks to know:

  • Quantities never go below zero: if your store shows negative available stock (oversold), the marketplace is told zero.
  • The total only includes locations enabled for that specific marketplace, so it can be lower than the number in your store.

7. Check the inventory buffer

If the marketplace has an inventory buffer, a SKU with less stock than the buffer is deliberately sent as zero. You'll spot it on the Offers page: the quantity shows as 0 with a small superscript such as ⁺² — the stock the buffer is holding back, in yellow when it's below the buffer. Either restock the SKU or lower the buffer in the marketplace's Settings, on the Offers tab.

Still zero?

If the offer looks right in Osello but the marketplace still shows nothing, click Get Help in the app and tell us the marketplace and a SKU — we can trace exactly what was sent.
