Osello keeps marketplace stock in sync for you: it watches inventory in your store and sends up-to-date quantities to every connected marketplace. A stock change typically reaches the marketplace within about an hour, with no work on your part.
The journey of a stock change
- Your store's stock changes — a sale, a return, a restock.
- Osello picks up the change. If you use Shopify, Shopify notifies Osello the moment inventory moves. Osello also checks for changes about once an hour, and does a full top-to-bottom re-sync once a day as a safety net.
- Osello records the quantity per variant, per location. You can see these numbers anytime under Inventory then Levels in the sidebar.
- Each marketplace gets its own total. Osello adds up stock only from the locations you've enabled for that marketplace, so different marketplaces can sell from different warehouses. If you've set an inventory buffer for the marketplace, those units are held back here.
- Osello pushes the new totals to the marketplace. Roughly every half hour, Osello sends updated quantities for anything that changed, as part of each listing's offer.
How fast is it?
Honest answer: usually within the hour.
- Changes in Shopify reach Osello almost immediately, and an hourly check catches anything a notification missed.
- Pushes to marketplaces run about every 30 minutes for items whose stock or price changed.
- Once a day, Osello re-syncs everything from scratch, so even a missed update never lasts long.
If a quantity looks stale, give it an hour before troubleshooting.
Push an update right away
You don't have to wait for the next scheduled push:
- In the sidebar, open the marketplace and click Offers.
- Open the actions menu and choose Push Offers to your marketplace.
- Click Submit. Osello sends current pricing and inventory for that marketplace immediately.
If your inventory isn't in Shopify
Stock doesn't have to come from an integration:
- On the Inventory then Levels page, use Import Data to upload quantities from a CSV or Excel file. Rows just need a way to identify the variant (like a SKU or barcode), a location, and a quantity.
- You can also open any row on that page to adjust a quantity by hand.
Either way, the numbers flow to your marketplaces exactly like imported stock does.
What Osello never does
Inventory syncing is one-way: Osello reads stock from your store and mirrors it outward to your marketplaces. It never changes your store's stock as part of the sync — your store stays the source of truth.
