You control which emails Osello sends you from your personal Preferences page. Each type of email has its own on/off switch, organized into a few small groups.
Open your preferences
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app.
- Choose Manage Account.
- Select the Preferences tab.
The email groups
Under Contact Preferences you'll find the switches grouped into panels — click a panel to expand it:
- Relevant Announcements — four switches for the kinds of announcements Osello publishes: Product Updates, Company Updates, Marketplace Updates, and Integration Updates. Marketplace and integration announcements are only emailed to you when they're about a marketplace or integration your store actually uses. Each option has an "examples" link that shows you the kind of articles it covers. A single Unsubscribe from all link at the bottom turns the whole group off (we'll ask you to confirm first, since you might miss updates about the marketplaces you sell on).
- Billing — invoices and payment notifications.
- Security — alerts about security issues and important account changes.
- Marketing — occasional partner and service offers.
All switches are on when your account is created. Flip any switch off (or back on) and click Save to apply the change.
We recommend leaving Security on: it covers alerts about your account that you'll almost always want to see, like important account changes.
Unsubscribing from an email
Every announcement email Osello sends includes an Unsubscribe link in its footer — one click turns off that category of email for you, no sign-in needed. The footer also has Manage preferences and Login links if you'd rather fine-tune things from your Preferences page.
These settings are yours, not the store's
Email preferences belong to your personal sign-in, not to the store. Turning off Marketing emails for yourself doesn't change what your teammates receive — each person manages their own preferences from their own account. If you manage more than one store, your choices follow you everywhere; there's nothing to set up per store.
Teammates' current choices are visible (but not editable) on their user page under the store's Users list, so you can check whether someone has a category switched off.
Bonus: pick your app theme
The same Preferences page has an Appearance section where you choose how Osello looks for you:
- Light — always use light mode.
- Dark — always use dark mode.
- System — follow your operating system setting.
Like the email switches, the theme is personal — it changes how the app looks on your screen only. Click Save after changing it.
Bonus: pick your editor style
Below Appearance, the Editor section decides which way instruction boxes open for you — the Extra AI Instructions box, custom instructions, prompt instructions and similar long-form fields:
- Rich text — format visually with a toolbar (bold, headings, lists, links, tables).
- Markdown — write raw markdown source.
This is only the starting view. Every one of those boxes has a small toggle in its top-right corner, so you can switch either way whenever you like without changing this setting. Like the theme, it's personal to you and takes effect after you click Save.
