Keep Listings in Sync When Products Change

What updates automatically when your product data changes — prices, inventory, identifiers — and when to re-run Prompts to refresh AI-written content.

When your product data changes, most of the flow takes care of itself: Osello re-imports the product, and prices, inventory, and identifiers move on their own. The one decision left to you is when AI-written listing content should be refreshed — and that's a Prompt away.

What syncs automatically

  • Product data. When you edit a product in your store, Shopify notifies Osello and the product is re-imported — changes typically land in Osello within minutes, and a full nightly refresh catches anything missed. Osello never edits your source data; it only reads it.
  • Prices. Change a price and the affected offers refresh immediately, then push to your marketplaces automatically wherever offer pushing is enabled.
  • Inventory. Stock levels are pulled every hour (with a full daily refresh) and flow to marketplaces through your offers.
  • Identifiers. SKU and barcode changes on a variant update the matching listing variants right away.

What deliberately stays put

Listing fields that are already filled — whether the AI wrote them or you did — keep their values when product data changes. That's intentional: a listing that's approved and selling shouldn't have its content churn every time a product record is touched. You stay in control of when marketplace-facing content gets rewritten.

When to re-run Prompts

After a meaningful product change — a rewritten description, a new fabric, updated images — re-run the AI on the fields that depend on it:

  • One listing: open it, and on the Fields tab check the affected fields, then choose Fill in With AI.
  • Many listings: on the marketplace's Listings page, select them and choose Fill in With AI. Uncheck Skip filled values so the AI redoes fields that already have values — leave it checked and it only fills gaps.
  • Just the gaps: use Fill in Missing Fields from the ... menu on the Listings page to fill every unfilled field across the marketplace.

Each run creates Field Prompts you can watch under AI > Field Prompts, with before and after values for every field so you can see exactly what changed.

Getting changes onto the marketplace

Price and inventory changes push on their own. Content changes — field values, images, titles — need a submission to reach the marketplace: a listing edited since its last submission shows "changes are pending submission" on its status badge until you resubmit it.
