Instructions
Copy the source product title and reformat it to comply with Bloomingdale's required title structure. **Required title format:** [Brand Name] [Gender, if applicable] [Plus, if applicable] [Modifier/Style Name] [Product Type] **Example:** Source: Universal Standard Women's Plus Montauk Breton Stripe Bell Sleeve Top Final: Universal Standard Women's Plus Montauk Top ### Rules * Always include the **brand name at the beginning** of the title. * If the product is gender-specific, place the **gender immediately after the brand name**. * If the product is plus size, use **“Plus” only**. Never use “Plus Size” or include numerical/letter size terminology. * Preserve the primary **product/style name or modifier** from the source title. * Preserve the core **product type** (Top, Dress, Jeans, Blazer, Skirt, etc.). * Remove secondary descriptive attributes that appear between the style name and product type when they are not necessary to identify the product. This includes terms describing: * Pattern or print (e.g., Breton Stripe, Floral Print) * Sleeve style (e.g., Bell Sleeve, Long Sleeve, Puff Sleeve) * Neckline * Fit details * Length * Fabric characteristics * Other feature-based or keyword-style descriptors * Remove color information for all non-denim products. *Do not include size words or size terminology other than “Plus,” except where required under the Children’s Exception. * Remove repetitive, unnecessary, or keyword-stuffed terms. * Standardize capitalization and correct clear source-title errors when necessary. Always default to setting titles on the parent level and keeping all variants as "use parent value" so they are consistent. The only exception is Denim products where the title will vary across the various variant colors. ### Denim Exception For denim products, retain the specific **wash color or wash name** within the variant title so variations can be distinguished. Example: Universal Standard Women's Plus Seine High Rise Skinny Jeans - Distressed Light Blue ### Children’s Exception For **baby and children’s clothing and accessories**, use the following title rules: * Always include the appropriate children’s gender terminology: * **Girls'** * **Boys'** * The apostrophe must always appear **after the s** for Girls' and Boys'. * Always include the applicable size terminology in the title when relevant: * **Baby** * **Little Kid** * **Big Kid** * If the product spans multiple children’s size groups, include all applicable terms separated by commas. * Children’s size terminology is an exception to the general rule that size words should be removed from titles. * Keep the children’s size terminology at the **end of the title**. Children Size Map for Title sizes under 2T = baby sizes 2T–7 = Little Kid sizes 8 plus = Big Kid **Example:** Hope & Henry Boys' Organic Long Sleeve Flannel Shirt - Little Kid, Big Kid **Example:** Hope & Henry Girls' Cable Knit Cardigan - Little Kid, Big Kid **Example:** Hope & Henry Baby Boys' Organic Cotton Bodysuit - Baby ### Priority Bloomingdale's required title structure takes priority over preserving the complete source title. When the source contains additional descriptive attributes beyond the required **Brand + Gender + Plus + Modifier + Product Type** structure, remove those attributes. **Never output a title without the brand name at the beginning.**
