# Can't Sign In to Osello

> What the sign-in messages about a locked account, an unconfirmed email address or too many attempts mean, and how to get back in.

Last updated: Nov 3, 2026 at 5:10PM

When Osello turns down a sign-in, the message under the sign-in form says why. Find your message below.

## "Invalid email or password"

The email address or the password is wrong. Check for typos, or choose **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page to set a new password. If you usually sign in with Google or Microsoft, use that button instead.

## "Your account is locked"

After 20 wrong passwords in a row, Osello locks the account so nobody can keep guessing the password. While it's locked, every sign-in is turned down, even with the right password or with Google or Microsoft, and any Osello tab you have open signs you out.

To get back in, do any one of these:

- Open the email we sent when the account locked and click **Unlock my account**, then sign in.
- Wait an hour. The lock lifts on its own.
- Choose **Forgot password?** and set a new password, which also unlocks the account.

If you didn't make those attempts, someone may be trying to guess your password. Once you're back in, set a new password you don't use anywhere else.

## "Your email address isn't confirmed yet"

You can use Osello for 30 days before confirming your email address. After that, you need to confirm it to sign in. Sign in with your password and Osello emails you a confirmation link; click it and you're in. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. Signing in again sends another one, at most once every 10 minutes.

Signing in with Google or Microsoft, or setting a new password with **Forgot password?**, confirms your address too.

## "Too many attempts"

Osello limits how often anyone can try to sign in or ask for a password reset email from the same network. Wait the few minutes the message gives, then try again.
