# Mark Up or Mark Down Prices for One Marketplace

> Raise or lower every price Osello sends to one marketplace by a percentage, for example to cover its commission, without changing your product data.

A price markup raises every price Osello sends to one marketplace by a percentage you choose. A negative percentage marks prices down instead. Your product data stays as it is, and your other marketplaces keep their own prices.

## Which marketplaces offer it

Price markups are available for Kohl's for now. Not every marketplace lets sellers list at prices different from their own store, so on other marketplaces the **Price markup** switch stays off. If you'd like it on another marketplace, [contact us](/contact).

Even where it's available, check with the marketplace that its seller terms allow you to mark up your prices before you turn it on.

## Turn it on

1. In the sidebar, open the marketplace, click the **...** under its links and choose **Setup** -> **Settings**, then open the **Offers** tab.
2. In the **Pricing** card, switch on **Price markup**.
3. Osello asks you to confirm the marketplace allows markups. Click **Yes, I understand** to continue, or **Cancel** to leave the markup off.
4. In **Markup**, enter a percentage between -99 and 99. Decimals such as 12.5 work too. Under the field, Osello shows what a $100 price becomes.
5. Click **Save**.

Saving refreshes your offers straight away, and the prices it changed go out to the marketplace within a minute. Changing the percentage or switching the markup off does the same.

Marked-up prices are rounded to the nearest cent.

## Which price it changes

The markup works together with the **Only use MSRP** switch in the same card.

### With Only use MSRP on

The marketplace gets one price: the greater of your MSRP and your price (see [where your marketplace prices come from](/help/inventory-pricing/how-pricing-works)). The markup applies to that price.

| Your MSRP | Your price | Markup | Marketplace price |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $80 | 10% | $110 |
| $52 | $50 | 10% | $57.20 |
| *(blank)* | $80 | -25% | $60 |

### With Only use MSRP off

The markup applies to your price only. Your MSRP is never lowered. When the marked-up price ends up above your MSRP, the MSRP rises to match it, so the marketplace never shows a regular price below the price a shopper pays.

| Your MSRP | Your price | Markup | Marketplace price | Discounted price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $52 | $50 | 10% | $55 | none |
| $100 | $80 | 10% | $100 | $88 |
| $100 | $100 | -10% | $100 | $90 |
| *(blank)* | $100 | -10% | $90 | none |

Because the MSRP stays put, a markdown on a product priced at its MSRP shows on the marketplace as a discount beneath the MSRP. See [how discounted prices work](/help/inventory-pricing/how-discount-pricing-works).

## Check the prices sent

Open the marketplace's **Offers** page. Each row shows the price the marketplace is sent, with the markup already applied; hover a price for the breakdown. The marketplace's **Listings** page shows the same prices. Your **Products** pages keep showing the prices from your store.

## Turn it off

Switch off **Price markup** in the **Pricing** card and click **Save**. Osello sends your prices without the markup again.
