# What Is Osello? Products, Marketplaces, and Listings Explained

## The core ideas

Four terms show up everywhere in Osello. Here's what each one means:

### Products

Your **products** are the source of truth: the titles, descriptions, images, prices, and variants that come from your store (for example, your Shopify catalog). Osello imports this data and keeps it in sync — it never edits your source data.

### Marketplaces

A **marketplace** is a retail channel you sell on — Target+, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, BestBuy, and more. Each marketplace has its own rules: its own categories, its own required fields, and its own quirks. Meeting those rules is the hard part of marketplace selling, and it's exactly what Osello automates.

### Listings

A **listing** is your product as it exists on one specific marketplace. One product can have many listings — one per marketplace — and each listing carries the marketplace-specific data that marketplace demands. When your product changes, Osello can update every related listing automatically.

### Prompts
