# From Product to Live Listing — How the Flow Works

> Follow a product's journey through Osello, from import to an approved, selling listing on a marketplace.

Every listing in Osello follows the same journey. Understanding these stages makes it easy to see where any product stands and what happens next.

## 1. Import

When you connect your store, Osello imports your products — titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, and inventory. This source data stays in sync automatically: when something changes in your store, Osello picks it up.

Osello never edits your source data. Everything marketplace-specific happens on the listing, so your store's catalog stays exactly as you keep it.

## 2. Create the listing

When you choose products to sell on a marketplace, Osello creates a listing for each one. The listing starts with everything your product already provides, mapped into the marketplace's format.

## 3. Categorize

Each marketplace organizes products into its own category tree, and the category decides which fields the marketplace requires. Osello suggests the right category for each listing; you can accept the suggestion or pick a different one.

## 4. Fill the required fields

Most marketplaces demand fields your store's data doesn't have — fabric content, style attributes, size charts, compliance details. This is where [Prompts](/help/ai-prompts/how-osello-ai-fills-listing-fields) come in: Osello's AI fills these fields from your product data and rates its own confidence for every value, so you review only the answers that need a human eye.

## 5. Submit

Once a listing has everything the marketplace requires, submit it. Osello sends the listing through the marketplace's system and tracks the response. If the marketplace rejects something, Osello shows you the reason so you can fix it and resubmit.

## 6. Sell and stay in sync

After approval, the listing goes live. From here Osello keeps everything moving without you:

- **Inventory** — stock levels flow from your store to the marketplace.
- **Prices** — price changes push automatically.
- **Orders** — marketplace orders flow into Osello (and on to your store) for fulfillment.
- **Product changes** — when your source product changes, Osello updates the listing to match.
